Professional Experience

Thaddeus B. Kubis, known as Thad, possesses extensive experience across a wide range of photographic fields. His work spans numerous industries, including Travel and Leisure, Manufacturing, Banking, Financial Services, Marine, Fine Art, Stock, Sailing, Editorial, and many others.

Educational Roles As a photographic educator and Apple Teacher, Thad leads workshops for different skill levels and interests. These workshops cover Smartphone, DSLR/Mirrorless, and Film-based photography instruction. He also teaches Pinhole Camera techniques and alternative photographic processes, such as Polaroid Emulsion Lifts.

Creative and Technical Integration Thad firmly believes in merging creativity and technical expertise within photography. He offers courses like Creative Composition and Postproduction/editing at organizations including The Berkshire Art Center, Five Points Art Center, Tanglewood Learning Center, OLLI/Berkshire Community College, and other institutions throughout New England and the Mid-Atlantic regions.

Published Works Thad is the author of several books reflecting his photographic journey. Among his works is A Sailor’s Eye, a photographic diary documenting his two-week sailing trip from Mallorca to Rome. He has co-authored Two Guys – Four Eyes, a visual adventure created with his son Dylan during a three-week journey through Italy. His most recent publication, “Photographs that I could have taken but did not”, explores his early years in Greenpoint Brooklyn, and delves into the photographs he might have captured during his childhood.

Workshops and Lectures Thad is available for both group and individual workshops. He also offers lectures focused on the history of photography, the pioneers of the art form, and the impact of technology on photography's creative expression.
